The GAIN OPTIMIZER dashboard is a compact, real-time information panel positioned in the top-right corner of your chart. It displays 7 critical metrics that tell you everything about current market conditions and signal status.
1. Dashboard Layout
The dashboard appears as a small table with 2 columns and 8 rows.
Dashboard Structure
Location: Fixed in top-right corner of chart
Visual Features:
- Semi-transparent background (doesn't block chart)
- Color-coded values (green = bullish, red = bearish, gray = neutral)
- Updates in real-time every candle
- Themed colors based on your Visual Theme selection
2. Understanding Each Metric
Let's break down each of the 7 metrics displayed on the dashboard.
π Metric #1: ADX (Trend Strength)
What it measures: The STRENGTH of the current trend (not the direction)
Why it matters: GAIN OPTIMIZER only generates signals when ADX is above your threshold. This prevents trading in choppy, ranging markets where signals are unreliable.
ADX β₯ 25 (Strong Trend) β
Color: Green/Cyan (theme-dependent)
- Market is trending strongly
- Perfect conditions for trading
- Signals are reliable
- Take signals with confidence
ADX < 25 (Weak Trend) β οΈ
Color: Red/Gray
- Market is ranging or consolidating
- CAUTION: No signals will appear
- System is protecting you from false signals
- Wait for ADX to rise above threshold
You can adjust ADX threshold in Settings β Filters β ADX Threshold
- M5 (Scalping): 20 (more signals, slightly lower quality)
- M15 (Day Trading): 22 (balanced)
- H1+ (Swing): 25 (fewer but higher quality signals)
π Metric #2: Trend Direction
What it shows: Current market direction detected by Supertrend indicator
Possible values:
| Display | Meaning | Signals Expected | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| πΌ BULLISH | Uptrend active | BUY signals only | Look for long entries |
| π½ BEARISH | Downtrend active | SELL signals only | Look for short entries |
| β‘οΈ NEUTRAL | No clear trend | No signals | Wait for trend to form |
ONLY trade in the direction of the trend!
- If trend is BULLISH β Only take BUY signals
- If trend is BEARISH β Only take SELL signals
- Counter-trend signals are filtered out automatically
π Metric #3: RSI (Momentum)
What it measures: Whether price is overbought, oversold, or neutral
Reading RSI:
| RSI Range | Condition | Color | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Above 70 | Overbought | Red | Watch for SELL signals (potential reversal) |
| 50-70 | Bullish | Gray | Normal upward momentum |
| 30-50 | Bearish | Gray | Normal downward momentum |
| Below 30 | Oversold | Green | Watch for BUY signals (potential bounce) |
Important: RSI is just ONE of 7 factors. Never trade based on RSI alone!
πΉ Metric #4: MACD Status
What it shows: MACD line position relative to signal line
Bullish
Color: Green/Cyan
- MACD line above signal line
- Momentum favors upside
- Supports BUY signals
Bearish
Color: Red/Magenta
- MACD line below signal line
- Momentum favors downside
- Supports SELL signals
π― Metric #5: Buy Score (Confluence)
What it measures: How many BUY conditions are currently met (out of 7 possible)
The 7 BUY factors:
- RSI oversold with recovery momentum
- MACD bullish crossover above zero
- Price above EMA with upward momentum
- Uptrend confirmation (EMA alignment)
- Near support level (if S/R enabled)
- Bullish price structure (higher lows)
- Multi-timeframe bullish alignment
Score interpretation:
| Score | Quality | Color | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6-7/7 | Excellent | Bright Green | Very high probability setup |
| 5/7 | Good | Green | Signal will appear (default threshold) |
| 3-4/7 | Moderate | Gray | Insufficient confluence |
| 0-2/7 | Weak | Gray | Conditions not met |
Settings β Filters β Minimum Confluence Score
- Score 4: More signals (15-25 per day on M15)
- Score 5: Balanced (8-12 per day) - Default
- Score 6: Quality over quantity (3-6 per day)
π― Metric #6: Sell Score (Confluence)
What it measures: How many SELL conditions are currently met (out of 7 possible)
The 7 SELL factors:
- RSI overbought with reversal momentum
- MACD bearish crossover below zero
- Price below EMA with downward momentum
- Downtrend confirmation (EMA alignment)
- Near resistance level (if S/R enabled)
- Bearish price structure (lower highs)
- Multi-timeframe bearish alignment
Works identically to Buy Score but for SELL signals.
π¦ Metric #7: Signal Status
What it shows: Current trading recommendation
Three states:
πΌ BUY
Color: Green/Cyan (bright)
Conditions met:
- β Buy Score β₯ threshold (default 5/7)
- β ADX above threshold (strong trend)
- β Trend is BULLISH
- β All filters passed
What happens: Green arrow appears on chart + Alert triggered
π½ SELL
Color: Red/Magenta (bright)
Conditions met:
- β Sell Score β₯ threshold (default 5/7)
- β ADX above threshold (strong trend)
- β Trend is BEARISH
- β All filters passed
What happens: Red arrow appears on chart + Alert triggered
βΈοΈ WAIT
Color: Gray
Why waiting:
- β Scores below threshold, OR
- β ADX too low (weak trend), OR
- β No clear trend direction, OR
- β Anti-overtrading filter active
What happens: No arrow, no alert. Monitor conditions.
3. Real Dashboard Examples
Let's analyze actual dashboard configurations and what they mean for trading.
Example #1: Perfect BUY Signal π₯
Analysis:
- β ADX 28: Strong trending market (above 25 threshold)
- β BULLISH trend: Clear upward direction
- β RSI 35.2: Oversold zone, bounce expected
- β MACD Bullish: Momentum supports upside
- β Buy Score 6/7: Almost perfect confluence
- β Signal BUY: All conditions met!
Decision: TAKE THE BUY SIGNAL with full confidence. This is a high-quality setup.
Example #2: Ranging Market - Stay Out β οΈ
Analysis:
- β ADX 15: Very weak, ranging market
- β NEUTRAL trend: No clear direction
- β Buy Score 2/7: Insufficient confluence
- β Sell Score 1/7: Insufficient confluence
- β Signal WAIT: System protecting you!
Decision: DO NOT TRADE. Market is choppy. Wait for ADX > 25 and clear trend.
Example #3: Mixed Signals - Use Caution π€
Analysis:
- β Strong trend (ADX 32)
- β οΈ BUT RSI overbought = exhaustion possible
- β οΈ MACD bearish despite bullish trend = bearish divergence
- β οΈ Neither score reaches threshold = conflicting signals
- β System waits for resolution
Decision: WAIT. Conflicting indicators. Potential trend reversal. Let market clarify.
4. How to Use the Dashboard
Quick Decision Framework
Before entering ANY trade, check these dashboard items in order:
Step 1: Check ADX
Question: Is ADX above your threshold (usually 25)?
- β YES β Continue to Step 2
- β NO β STOP. Don't trade. Market is ranging.
Step 2: Check Trend
Question: Is trend clear (BULLISH or BEARISH)?
- β YES β Continue to Step 3
- β NO (NEUTRAL) β STOP. Wait for trend.
Step 3: Check Signal
Question: Does Signal show BUY or SELL?
- β BUY or SELL β Take the signal!
- β WAIT β Don't trade yet.
Step 4: Verify Score (Optional)
For extra confidence, check confluence score:
- 6-7/7 = Excellent (full position size)
- 5/7 = Good (standard position size)
- 4/7 = Acceptable (reduce position 50%)
When all these align, you have a high-probability setup:
- β ADX β₯ 25 (strong trend)
- β Trend = BULLISH or BEARISH (not neutral)
- β Score β₯ 5/7 (good confluence)
- β Signal = BUY or SELL (not wait)
- β RSI not extreme (not >80 or <20)
Common Dashboard Mistakes
"The score is 6/7, I'll trade anyway even though ADX is 18"
Why it fails: Ranging markets have false breakouts. System disables signals for a reason.
Solution: Trust the ADX filter. Wait for ADX β₯ 25.
"I want to short, but trend shows BULLISH"
Why it fails: Counter-trend trading has low win rate. Fighting the trend is losing strategy.
Solution: Only trade WITH the trend shown on dashboard.
"I see a setup on the chart but Signal shows WAIT"
Why it fails: If system says WAIT, a required condition is not met.
Solution: Trust the system. When conditions are right, signal will appear.
