💡 Pro Tip: Recommended Settings

For beginners, use the default settings. They've been optimized through extensive backtesting on XAUUSD. 2

Download & Install PineConnector EA

After subscribing, download the PineConnector Expert Advisor (EA) for your platform:

  1. Login to your PineConnector account
  2. Go to Downloads section
  3. Download PineConnector EA for MT4 or MT5
  4. Copy the .ex4 or .ex5 file to: MetaTrader/MQL4/Experts/
  5. Restart MetaTrader
  6. Drag PineConnector EA onto your XAUUSD chart
âš™ī¸ Important Settings in MetaTrader

In MetaTrader, go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and enable:
✓ Allow automated trading
✓ Allow DLL imports
✓ Allow WebRequest for pineconnector.com

3

Get Your License ID

In your PineConnector account dashboard:

  1. Click on License Manager
  2. Create a new license or view existing one
  3. Copy your License ID (format: XXXXXXXXXX)
  4. Paste this ID in the PineConnector EA settings in MetaTrader
  5. Also paste this ID in GAIN OPTIMIZER indicator settings in TradingView

âš ī¸ Keep your License ID private! It's like a password that connects your TradingView to your MetaTrader.

4

Configure GAIN OPTIMIZER for PineConnector

In TradingView, open GAIN OPTIMIZER indicator settings:

  1. Scroll to PINECONNECTOR section
  2. ✓ Enable "Enable PineConnector Alerts"
  3. Enter your License ID from Step 3
  4. Set MT5 Symbol (usually XAUUSD, check your broker)

đŸŽ¯ Position Sizing Guide

0.01 lot = $10 per pip (micro account, good for testing)
0.1 lot = $100 per pip (mini account)
1.0 lot = $1,000 per pip (standard account)

Start with 0.01 until you're confident!

5

Create TradingView Alerts

Now create alerts in TradingView to send signals:

  1. Right-click on the chart → Add Alert
  2. Condition: GAIN OPTIMIZER
  3. Alert name: "GAIN OPTIMIZER - Buy/Sell"
  4. Message: Leave as default (the indicator auto-fills PineConnector format)
  5. ✓ Check "Webhook URL"
  6. Paste: https://pineconnector.com/webhook
  7. Click Create
🔔 Alert Frequency

Set alert to "Once Per Bar Close" to avoid false signals from candles that haven't closed yet. This is the most reliable setting for automated trading.

6

Test the Connection

Verify everything is working:

  1. Make sure MetaTrader is running with PineConnector EA active
  2. Check MT4/MT5 Experts tab - should show "Connected to PineConnector"
  3. Wait for a signal on TradingView (or trigger one manually on demo)
  4. TradingView sends webhook → PineConnector receives → MT4/MT5 executes trade
  5. Check Experts tab and Terminal for trade confirmation

✅ Pro Tip: Always test on a DEMO account first! Once you're confident the system works perfectly, switch to live trading.
