Never miss a GAIN OPTIMIZER signal again! TradingView alerts notify you instantly when signals appear, so you don't need to watch charts 24/7.

1. Alert System Overview

What Are Alerts?

Definition: Automated notifications triggered when specific conditions are met on your chart.

Why use alerts:

Alert Types

1. Indicator Alerts (What We'll Use)

  • Trigger when GAIN OPTIMIZER generates signal
  • BUY signal appears → Notification sent
  • SELL signal appears → Notification sent
  • Confluence threshold crossed → Notification sent

2. Price Alerts

  • When price reaches certain level
  • Good for support/resistance
  • Complementary to indicator alerts

Alert Limitations by Plan

Plan Active Alerts Server-Side SMS
Basic (Free) 1
Pro 10
Pro+ 100
Premium 400
⚠️ Important Need at least Pro plan ($14.95/month) for serious trading with alerts.

2. Creating Basic Alerts

Step-by-Step Alert Creation

Step 1: Open Alert Dialog

Method 1: Click bell icon 🔔 (top toolbar)

Method 2: Right-click on chart → "Add Alert"

Method 3: Keyboard shortcut: Alt + A

📸 Screenshot: Alert Button Location

Step 2: Select Condition

In the alert dialog:

Condition: [Dropdown: GAIN OPTIMIZER] ↓ [Dropdown: Buy Signal]

Available GAIN OPTIMIZER conditions:

  • New BUY Signal
  • New SELL Signal
  • Confluence Score Above X
  • Confluence Score Below X
  • Trend Change

Step 3: Set Alert Options

Options: ☐ Only Once (UNCHECK THIS!) ☐ Expires: Never
⚠️ CRITICAL UNCHECK "Only Once"! Otherwise alert dies after first trigger. You want alerts for EVERY signal!

Step 4: Configure Notifications

Notifications: ☑ Popup (on-screen notification) ☑ Play Sound (audible alert) ☑ Send Email (notification to inbox) ☐ Send SMS (requires Pro+ plan) ☑ Webhook URL (for automation - advanced)

Recommended for beginners:

  • ✅ Popup
  • ✅ Play Sound
  • ✅ Send Email
  • ❌ SMS (unless you have Pro+)

Step 5: Name Your Alert

Alert Name: GAIN OPTIMIZER - BUY Signal - XAUUSD M15

Naming convention:

[Indicator] - [Signal Type] - [Symbol] [Timeframe]
💡 Why Good Names Matter With multiple alerts, you need to know which is which instantly. Clear names save time!

Step 6: Customize Message (Optional)

Message: 🚨 GAIN OPTIMIZER BUY SIGNAL! 🚨 Symbol: XAUUSD Timeframe: 15 min Confluence Score: {{confluence}} Price: {{close}} Time: {{time}} Check chart immediately!

Available variables:

  • {{ticker}} - Symbol name
  • {{close}} - Current price
  • {{time}} - Signal time
  • {{confluence}} - Confluence score

XAUUSD M15 - BUY XAUUSD M15 - SELL XAUUSD H1 - BUY XAUUSD H1 - SELL

  • Total: 4 alerts per symbol

5. Notification Options

  1. Download TradingView app (iOS/Android)
  2. Log in with same account
  3. Enable push notifications (device settings)
  4. Sync alerts automatically

Alert Best Practices

✅ DO's
  1. Test Alerts First - Create test alert, trigger manually, verify notifications work
  2. Use Multiple Types - Popup + Email + Mobile for backup
  3. Name Clearly - Include symbol, timeframe, condition
  4. Review Weekly - Check if still relevant, delete unused
❌ DON'Ts
  1. Don't Rely on One Type - Always have backup notification
  2. Don't Create and Forget - Alerts can expire, check periodically
  3. Don't Set Too Many - Alert fatigue = missed signals
  4. Don't Trade Every Alert Blindly - Alerts are notifications, not commands

Troubleshooting Alerts

Alert Not Triggering

Solutions:

  1. Check alert settings (condition correct?)
  2. Verify alert not expired
  3. Ensure "Only Once" is UNCHECKED
  4. Test with manual trigger
  5. Recreate alert if needed

Too Many Alerts

Solutions:

  1. Increase confluence threshold (75+ instead of 70+)
  2. Add more filters (only WITH trend)
  3. Use higher timeframe
  4. Limit to 1-2 pairs only

Mobile Notifications Not Working

Solutions:

  1. Check phone notification settings
  2. TradingView app allowed notifications?
  3. Phone not in Do Not Disturb mode?
  4. Try reinstalling app
