Alert Best Practices
- Test Alerts First - Create test alert, trigger manually, verify notifications work
- Use Multiple Types - Popup + Email + Mobile for backup
- Name Clearly - Include symbol, timeframe, condition
- Review Weekly - Check if still relevant, delete unused
- Don't Rely on One Type - Always have backup notification
- Don't Create and Forget - Alerts can expire, check periodically
- Don't Set Too Many - Alert fatigue = missed signals
- Don't Trade Every Alert Blindly - Alerts are notifications, not commands
Troubleshooting Alerts
Alert Not Triggering
Solutions:
- Check alert settings (condition correct?)
- Verify alert not expired
- Ensure "Only Once" is UNCHECKED
- Test with manual trigger
- Recreate alert if needed
Too Many Alerts
Solutions:
- Increase confluence threshold (75+ instead of 70+)
- Add more filters (only WITH trend)
- Use higher timeframe
- Limit to 1-2 pairs only
Mobile Notifications Not Working
Solutions:
- Check phone notification settings
- TradingView app allowed notifications?
- Phone not in Do Not Disturb mode?
- Try reinstalling app
